Assessing and Reflecting on Learning Using an iPad - 3 Hour Preconference

Evaluating student learning can be as simple as a click of a button by collecting assessments digitally. From digital exit cards to formal summative assessments, the iPad helps teachers take the pulse of student learning. Elements of the iPad also let students both complete their work and reflect on their learning. Come learn some strategies for assessing students and helping them to reflect on their work. Participants should bring their own iPad.

Build Literacy Success with Technology - 3 Hour Preconference

Come learn ways iPads and other digital tools can be used in literacy instruction. You'll discover how to use an iPad to read and define text for struggling readers; how to create, capture and store quickwrites for future publication; and how to enhance two-column notes, summarization, collaborative writing and fluency checks with technology. You will walk away with practical solutions to use in your classroom. Bring a wi-fi enabled device.
