iPad Introduction

An iPad is a great tool for classroom learning and personal productivity. In this workshop, participants will master basic operation and navigation of the iPad, explore Native Apps, the App Store, and learn ways to effectively start using the iPad in the classroom. iPads are provided and participants are encouraged to come with ideas to share.

iBooks Author— Creating Multi-Media Books for the iPad

Apple’s iBooks Author application makes it easier than ever to create multi-media content for the iPad and Mac Computer. This workshop will take an in depth look at using iBooks Author to create materials, distributing the content to the iPad, and using the content in the iBooks app. This is a hands-on workshop with extensive work time so bring materials to create digital books. Bring your own iPad to preview books.

Leveraging Digital Resources

A course on various tools for assessment, creation, and more to create diverse learning opportunities for students.
This workshop provides an overview of the components of 21st Century Skills, along with a wide array of tools and teaching strategies for helping students of all ages build these skills. Participants will leave the workshop with a complete understanding of 21st century skills and how to start incorporating these with content knowledge instruction.
